Dr. Farid Khavari is running in the upcoming special election for the office of mayor of Miami-Dade. This noted economist has a definite step by step plan to reverse the current economic melt down occurring in the area and create an engine of economic growth in Miami-Dade.

In this interview Dr. Khavari explains the Khavari Economic Plan which will create 150,000 new jobs in the area, eliminate property taxes and stabilize the real estate market, solving the over whelming foreclosure problem. Dr. Khavari feels strongly about the importance of education and contrary to many candidates running for various offices around the country, his plan does not jeopardize education and teacher’s salaries. He also recognizes and values the tremendous services of the police and fire fighters in the community and his plan includes compensating them appropriately.

As an economist Dr. Khavari believes in a strict accountability of tax payers money and proposes an immediate cut in the salaries of the Mayor and Executive Branch to levels more in line with average citizens.

Dr. Khavari is the author of nine books, including “Zero Cost Economy” which can be down loaded for free at ZeroCostEconomy.com.
Click on the discussion button and post your questions to Dr. Khavari.

Dr. Farid Khavari, well respected economist, author of nine books, including the classic Environomics is running for governor of Florida as an Independent. Khavari believes politicians cannot solve the current economic problems and that his opponents, Sink, McCollum and Scott have no concrete plan to alleviate Florida’s weak economy.

In this interview, Khavari lays out the two cornerstones of The Khavari Economic Plan: to create a state owned bank, The Bank of the State of Florida (BSF), and to implement the concept of a Zero-Cost Economy. The three goals of his plan are to:

1) Create income for all Floridians

2) To reduce the cost of living for all Floridians

3) To help all Floridians accumulate and protect true wealth for retirement.

Listeners in other states will find Khavari’s economic plan interesting as it has captured national attention, influencing a number of other gubernatorial candidates for this up-coming election. Exact details of all the various aspects of Khavari’s economic plan can also be found on his website www.Khavariforgovernor.com.

Tim Cox, founder of GOOOH (Get Out Of Our House), a grass roots, non- partisan plan to evict the career politicians in the House of Representatives, talks to Good Politics Radio.

In 2010 the country will be replacing 1/3 of the Senate and 100% of the House of Representatives.

The country’s distrust of Washington and politicians in general is at an all time high. From the anger expressed through the polls it is obvious that the majority of people do not trust their politicians and are looking for something else. COOOH’s plan is to change the way politics has been run in this country. Their mission is to remove all the elected members of the House of Representatives and replace them with everyday Americans. GOOOH wants to eliminate the back room control of the Republican and Democratic parties and to make the representatives responsible to their electorate, not the party and not their own career.

Cox tells us just how GOOOH’s plan is set up to accomplish this mission and the process on how an every day American would be selected to run for the House of Representatives in their district.

After listening to the podcast be sure and check out their website at www.GOOOH.com to review the list of questions each candidate has to answer as well as to see how you can become involved in this grass roots organization.

The three panelists begin the show by talking about the Democratic National Convention. They talk about former President Clinton’s impassioned speech, the Clintons’ endoresement of Senator Obama, and Senator Obama’s economic policies as outlined in his acceptance speech in front of 75,000 people in Denver.

Then the panelists talk about the surprising pick of Governor Sarah Palin as Senator McCain’s running mate. They talk about her lack of national experience and about her accomplishments as Alaska’s governor.

The three participants on the show are Robert Scheer who represents the left, Tony Blankley who represents the right, and Matt Miller who represents the center. Arianna Huffington who represents the progressive blogosphere is away on assignment.

At the end of this entertaining show the participants each have a 30 second rant to summarize the issue that each sees as most significant.
